Biography

Dr Alexander Tovstopyat

Senior researcher, Moscow

Dr Alexander Tovstopyat has been graduated from Moscow State University in 2012 as a specialist in Atomic Physics, Plasma Physics and Microelectronics. He has got his PhD in 2016 in the Technical University of Graz, where he was working in the field of molecular spectroscopy and organic photovoltaics. Since 2017 he is leading the plasma technology laboratory in Research Institute “Polyus” named after M.F. Stelmach in Moscow. His successful work in different fields of physics brought to him a wide experience in methodology and experimental processes of scientific investigation.

Abstract

In this talk perspective concepts in the fields of plasma technologies and photovoltaics will be discussed. The importance of the wide scientific experience in the different field will be shown on the example of the lecturer. The talk consists of three parts: plasma technologies, photovoltaics and pedagogy. In first section plasma treatment of the optical components will be discussed with focus on the surface properties. The second part of the talk is devoted to latest results in silicon photovoltaics and future investigations in it. At the end of the talk, the lecturer will discuss two different education systems and bring his opinion on modern education approach.
